InStyle's hair look of the day
InStyle magazine voted Nicole Richie's new brunette do as the hair look of the day:
THE STYLE Long eyelash grazing bangs in a new chestnut shade
WHERE The launch of the House of Harlow 1960 Holiday Collection at Bloomingdale's in Costa Mesa, California
WHY WE LOVE IT Nicole Richie's colorist, George Papanikolas, confessed that his client's new shade wasn't exactly an overnight impulse. "We have gradually been going darker over the last few months—from blonde, to dark ash blonde, then brown with golden tips and finally this rich sable brown," he says. The benefit of taking it slow (besides not frying your strands)? "We did this gradual transition so we could play with different looks," says Papanikolas.
