Like it or not, this hairstyle is back and it's going to be one of the major 2009 hair trends.

"As much as I enjoy having long hair, there are many days I want it off my neck and out of my face. Such moments call for buns or twists, but I loathe anything that looks too dainty or mature. Happily I found loads of inspiration on the spring runways, as the models at Armani, Issa, and Max Azria all showed fabulously unfussy pinned-up hair. I’m particularly infatuated with the hippie-chic style shown at Trovata: a casual knot at the nape of the neck, embellished with two tiny twists. I also plan on trying my own version of the bohemian-glam hairstyle Nicole Richie wore to The Art of Elysium’s Heaven Gala last month. Her pinned-up baby braids remind me a bit of the boho braid, albeit a much more fashion-forward version!"

Nicole was spotted picking up a bouquet of flowers in an outfit consisting of a striped hoodie, leggings, aviator shades, Nike sneakers and a scarf.
With her her boho chic milkmaid braid Nicole looks adorable.

Nicole at Whole Foods

Nicole Richie was spotted yesterday, February 9, out at Whole Foods in West Hollywood, bundled up in her favorite coat and sporting trendy Hunter rain boots in black. A few days ago she was seen wearing them in green.
The scarf adds a cool touch to her outfit.
According to Celebrity gossip Nicole opted to skip out on the Grammy Awards and headed over to Arclight theater to check out the new movie "He’s just not into you" with a few friends.

Miss Richie and her rocker hubby Joel Madden were photographed last month at an event held by Emile Hirsch in the living room of a private residence in Los Angeles, on January 15.
"There with Joel Madden, the starlet sat in rapt attention as the Milk actor told guests like Maria Bello how they could get involved in the charity, which raises awareness of sexual assault against women in the Congo. As she listened, Richie would discretely rub her beau's leg, and he reciprocated by wrapping his arm around her shoulder and periodically playing with her hair."
