Uncle Benji Madden already has eye on Harlow's dating future

Harlow Winter Kate Madden won't be a year old until Jan. 11, but her uncle, Benji Madden, already has a warning for potential suitors.
"I'm going to be keeping a close eye on her," Madden, 29, tells PEOPLE of the daughter of twin brother Joel Madden and his girlfriend Nicole Richie, 27. "I'll leave the shotgun right by the door."
Says Madden, who rang in the new year in Las Vegas at Hard Rock Hotel's Body English, "We're lucky being twins, because Joel can be the good guy and I'll be the bad guy."
The Good Charlotte guitarist is thrilled with the way Harlow's parents have been raising her so far.
"When they had her, their instincts just kind of came out, and it's amazing to see," he says.
What makes it work? Harlow comes first, says Madden. "They just really put their child above everything."
Adds Madden: "Joel is such a great dad and Nicole is the best mom I've ever seen. Joel is all about showing up. His main concern in life is protecting and caring for his family."

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden hosted a party for the kids from Beyond Shelter held at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California, yesterday, January 3.
Nicole paired a long black cardigan with her Fluxus deep V burnout tee in quartz and dark skinny jeans.
She also sported Christian Dior oversized sunnies, a hippie-chic headscarf, her Balenciaga "City" bag and some studded moccasins similar to Mary Kate Olsen's Bess mocs.

Shopping spree at the Chanel boutique

The hottest couple in Hollywood, Nicole Richie and boyfriend Joel Madden was spotted grabbing lunch together in Studio City on Friday afternoon, January 2, and then heading to Beverly Hills for a shopping spree at the Chanel boutique on Rodeo Drive.
I wonder what's in her bag? Maybe a new Chanel purse.
The young mommy's wearing a long cardigan over a white V-neck tee and black skinny jeans. She completes her look with with a hat, aviators, Givenchy booties, her Balenciaga "City" and lots of jewelry: bracelets, rings and three necklaces (one of them is from her House of Harlow 1960 collection).
Nicole's theory on accessorizing is "more is more".

Baby #2 for Nicole?!

Star Magazine is reporting that Nicole Richie is preparing for a second pregnancy by taking vitamins, eating healthy and designing trendy maternity wear.
"Nicole simply told Joel that she wants another baby —right away," a friend confides to the mag. "He was a little overwhelmed at first, but now he’s with her 100 percent. They’re both thrilled about adding to their family… Things are amazing between them. Nicole knows it’s because they’re both so happy with Harlow, and she truly believes another baby will double their commitment."
I’ll believe this one when Nicole herself reveals it in an interview.
