Nicole Richie is among the stylish stars on People magazine's list of best dressed women of 2009.

Who says expecting means sacrificing style? Not Nicole Richie, who even went so far during her second pregnancy as to launch her own maternity line for A Pea in the Pod. "The last thing a pregnant woman wants is to feel like she's wearing maternity clothes," says Richie. She started off in looks like this sparkling Bally tunic and finished her pregnancy in an easy outfit from her Nicole line.

In Nicole's closet: Simone Camille

As I wrote in a previous post, this patchwork bag was originally handmade by stylist Simone Harouche for Nicole Richie. After receiving many requests for the bag Simone decided to create a limited edition collection of about 80 handbags called "Simone Camille". Each bag is one of a kind, handmade and comprised of vintage textiles that come from all around the world.
The "Simone Camille" bag is exclusively available at Ron Herman for $975 or $1495.

Hilary Duff is featured in the October 2009 edition of Seventeen magazine. Duff showed off some pieces from her Femme for DKNY Jeans line.
Hilary modeled and styled the photoshoot. To accessorize the outfits she chose two necklaces from Nicole Richie's jewelry collection - a red leather feather necklace and the black leather starburst pendant necklace.

It's a boy

Nicole Richie gave birth to a healthy baby boy - Sparrow James Midnight Madden, yesterday, 9.09. 2009. Finally! Congrats to the happy family!
I like his name, it’s an unusual name but it’s actually cute and goes well with Harlow:)
It’s a boy for Nicole Richie and Joel Madden! The couple welcomed son Sparrow James Midnight Madden in the early morning hours of Wednesday, September 9th in Los Angeles, Calif. Baby boy weighed in at 7 lbs., 14 oz.
"Nicole, Joel, Harlow and Sparrow are all doing well. Thank you for all of your good wishes," reads a statement on Nicole’s website.
Sparrow joins big sister Harlow Winter Kate, 20 months this week.
According to celeb numerologist Tania Gabrielle, Nicole's son has an "extremely rare" birthdate.
Numerologists refer to the number 9 as the number of life and as a signifier of "endings and beginnings," Gabrielle tells Us magazine.
In addition, the number 9 "signifies love, compassion and family," she says. (It is also associated with arrogance and self-righteousness, she notes.)
Sparrow "will likely be highly creative" Gabrielle tells Us. "He could also be a leader. The child will have a lot of gifts."

Nicole Richie in the hospital

According to etonline.com Nicole Richie is currently in the hospital.
A source has confirmed to ET that Nicole Richie has been admitted to the hospital to give birth to her second child with boyfriend Joel Madden.
The little bundle of joy will be the latest addition to the family. The couple has a daughter together, Harlow, who was born in January 2008. Reps for the couple have not yet offered an official comment as of this posting. ETonline will have more on this story as it develops.
