Miss Richie's first fashion icon was her mother, Brenda, who wore exquisite pieces from Chanel or Alaia.
Nicole's style is also inspired by mod and boho icons of the 1960s and 70s, Marianne Faithfull and Anita Pallenberg, and Keith Richards from The Rolling Stones.

Nicole reveals Macy's designs

Nicole Richie has revealed some sketches ahead of her capsule collection launch for Macy's.
Nicole's line will be exclusive to Macy’s Impulse department and sold in about 100 Macy’s locations as well as on macys.com, beginning mid-September.

Nicole created a Pinterest board for InStyle featuring the inspirations behind her debut fragrance "Nicole": Seville orange, cashmere, Moroccan rose, lily of the valley, sandalwood, blackberry, vanilla.
"I grew up with a mom who loved beauty. I have many memories of watching her get ready as she layered her oils and lotions, and this fragrance is a scent that I associate with her", she told InStyle.

Nicole Richie celebrated her limited collection for Macy's "Nicole Richie for Impulse" only at Macy's, on July 11, at Restaurant Daniel , in New York City.
The designer wore a blouse with long bell sleeves from her line for Macy's with Helmut Lang leather pants and Balenciaga shoes.
Nicole's collection for Macy's will be available online and in 100 Macy's stores and features a mix of masculine and feminine pieces.

Nicole Richie attended the Bing "Summer of doing" with Do something.org  on July 10.
Nicole, along with Maria Menounos, Karlie Kloss, Corbin Bleu , spent her day helping to restore the pieces of the Mosaic Peace wall at the Jacob H. Schiff playground in Harlem, New York City.
For her ensemble she chose a pair of Ksubi skinny jeans and a plain white tee from Helmut Lang teamed with accessories from her House of Harlow 1960 fall 2012 collection (necklace, Kail flats, "Dancer" sunglasses).

Dear readers,
I recently discovered a copycat version of my blog - NicoleRichie.org - that steals my content word for word.
I contacted the webmaster to let him/her know about the plagiarized content and he/she told me that I'm just mean and selfish. I also contacted the host - Fanfusion.org - and they continue to ignore me.
I find this situation very frustrating because that person steals my work and uses my name.
I truly admire and love Nicole Richie and I do my best to support her with this blog.

The actress was spotted wearing the Winter Kate Damien dress in her husband's video "Now that I've found you",  the same Damien dress, but with a different print, while out and about in Orlando and the "Passenger" dress, while attending a show in Las Vegas in 2011.

FFANY shoes on sale

Nicole Richie supports FFANY's (Fashion Footwear Association of New York) fundraising event "FFANY shoes on sale" presented by QVC.
The shoe industry's largest fundraising event is scheduled to take place on October 22, 2012 at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.
Nicole, the spokesperson, also encourages you to shop on QVC's charitable shoe sale on Wednesday, October 24, 2012.
Proceeds benefit breast cancer research and education.
